Swim, Wellness & Agriturismo in Italy
A 5-Night Retreat from Rome to Umbria
June 10th – June 16th 2026
Reiti, Umbria – Italy
Dive into all-inclusive swimming, wellness, and agriturismo in the heart of Italy.
This June, join TriSwim for a transformative 5-day holiday that blends wild swims, mindful movement, and authentic Italian culture. From 10th–16th June 2026, we journey from the timeless streets of Rome to the rolling hills of Umbria, where lakes, vineyards, and medieval villages set the stage for your adventure.
This isn’t just a holiday; it’s an immersion. Swim beneath waterfalls, savour vineyard picnics, hike to mountain sunsets, and share candlelit dinners in castles.
Because this is more than travel — it’s a celebration of water, culture, and community.
Relais Villa D’Assio
Just 90 minutes from Rome, Relais Villa d’Assio is a restored Roman borgo nestled in the Umbrian hills — where olive groves, birdsong, and open skies set the pace.
Elegant rooms. Private gardens. A sandstone pool. Space to breathe, rest, and reconnect between swims.
Rooted in nature and slow living, this countryside sanctuary is la dolce vita done right.
Rooms
Each room at Relais Villa d’Assio blends timeless elegance with contemporary ease. Warm tones, natural materials, and historic charm create a peaceful, welcoming space to unwind.
Choose from spacious doubles or cosy singles, all with private ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning and serene countryside views. Whether you’re curling up with a book or sinking into sleep after a day in the water, your room is your personal retreat.
Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is for anyone seeking something deeply nourishing — a chance to step away from routine and into a rhythm guided by nature, movement, good food, and connection.
You don’t need to be an athlete or experienced swimmer. Whether you’re dipping into open water for the first time, walking peaceful trails, or simply drawn to the idea of long lunches under olive trees and evenings with wine and laughter — this is for you.
Rooted in the Italian tradition of agriturismo — farm-based hospitality focused on simplicity, sustainability, and seasonal living — this retreat blends swimming, wellness, and culture in a way that feels warm, human, and real.
Each experience is adaptable. Join every swim, or none. Stretch, float, hike, rest — all at your own pace.
You’ll be supported by Laura and Cris, and surrounded by a like-minded group who value soul over speed and presence over perfection.
Come as you are — and leave nourished, inspired, and reconnected to the joy of just being.
Daily Schedule
Day 1 – Rome: Culture, Coffee & Time Out
We meet at Rome Fiumicino Airport at 11am and head into the city for our first taste of la dolce vita.
Our base is the boutique Eccelso Hotel, perfectly placed for exploring on foot.
In the afternoon, we weave through Rome’s cobbled streets on a relaxed guided tour — taking in some of Italy’s most iconic sights with plenty of stops for coffee, wine, and gelato along the way.
After a little rest, we gather for a traditional Roman dinner and finish with a moonlit stroll to St Peter’s Square.
Day 2 – Lakes & Castles: Swim, Waterfalls & Candlelight
We leave the city behind for the wild beauty of Lake Piediluco, swimming up to 2km in glassy waters beneath the hills. A gentle walk through forest trails brings us to cascading waterfalls, where a local vineyard lays out a picnic of Umbrian wine, seasonal dishes, and fresh-baked focaccia. As the sun dips, we gather for our first agriturismo dinner at Antica Nord Est — a warm, rustic feast of truffle-topped pizzas and slow food made with love.
Day 5 – Rapids, Rivers & A Toast to Italy
We begin with one final Italian adventure — rafting and wild swimming along the Velino River, guided by local experts through rapids and calm waters alike. After a joyful riverside lunch, the afternoon slows for rest and reflection. As the sun sets, we gather at award-winning Cantina Le Macchie for a private vineyard tour and farewell dinner among the vines — a final toast to connection, adventure, and la dolce vita.
Day 3 – Slow Living: Ancient Waters & Stars Above
We begin with gentle breathwork by the river — a chance to slow down, stretch out, and ground into the day. Later, we explore the ancient town of Rieti before a short, spring-fed swim in the Velino River. After a relaxed farm-to-table lunch, we wander forest trails and waterfalls on a gentle hike, ending with a rustic mountaintop barbecue and stargazing under the Umbrian sky.
Day 4 – The Epic Swim: Cooking, Castles & Connection
Today we return to Lake Piediluco for our signature open water swim — choose your distance: 5km, 2.5km, or shorter sections with support boats beside you. Afterward, we roll up our sleeves for a hands-on Umbrian cooking session, followed by a long, laughter-filled lunch. The evening brings something truly special: a candlelit dinner in the hilltop village of Labro, where prosecco flows and sunset views over the castle stay with you forever.
Day 6 – Farewell Flow or Tuscan Extension
Our final morning begins gently with a light villa breakfast before check-out. A group transfer will return us to Rome Fiumicino Airport, arriving by 11am for forward travel. Guests depart rested, renewed, and full of memories.
For those wishing to extend their adventure, an optional two-night Tuscan Sea Swim Retreat is available. This intimate add-on blends countryside living with Mediterranean swims
Le Poste Di Simplicio
Perched above the wild beauty of Campese Bay, Le Poste di Simplicio is a six-room hideaway on Isola del Giglio — a quiet gem of the Tuscan archipelago. With private terraces, crystalline sea access, and sunsets over Elba and Corsica, this is slow, soulful living by the sea. Lovingly run by Luisa, the house feels more like home than hotel — a place to rest, reconnect, and truly exhale.
Rooms
Inside, each room blends simplicity with elegance, offering comfort, privacy, and a true sense of Tuscan island charm.
Natural light pours in, and every room features an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and its own terrace or outdoor nook — ideal for quiet reflection, shared laughter, or simply doing nothing at all.
Every detail at Le Poste di Simplicio reflects Luisa’s care — from her heartfelt welcome to the thoughtful local touches throughout your stay. This is more than a place to sleep. It’s a slice of la dolce vita by the sea, where land, sky, and salt water meet in effortless harmony.
Daily Schedule
Day 6 – Island Arrival: Prosecco by the Sea
We wave goodbye to Rome-bound friends and head south, where hills fall into sea. After a light lunch in Porto Santo Stefano, we ferry across to Isola del Giglio — all cliffs, coves, and crystal-clear water.
By afternoon, we arrive at Le Poste di Simplicio, where the sea is just steps from your room. Choose a short dip or swim up to 2.5km along the rugged coast, then unwind with prosecco at sunset and a candlelit dinner under the stars — island life begins.
Day 7 – Hike, Swim & Castle Walls
After a light breakfast, we follow a coastal path from Campese to the dramatic Faraglione cliffs — where turquoise waters meet open sky. Swim the 3km back if you wish, or walk and watch the sea sparkle below.
Lunch is rustic and slow, followed by a gentle reef swim, exploring marine life in warm, shallow waters.
As evening falls, we ascend to Giglio Castello. Winding lanes, golden stone, and dinner within ancient walls — a fairytale finish to a perfect island day.
Day 8 – Farewell Swim & Return
We begin our final day with a quiet swim at Cannelle Beach — clear waters, warm sun, and the gentle rhythm of the sea saying goodbye.
After one last lunch by the shore, we ferry back to the mainland and return to Rome. Tuscany stays with us: salt on our skin, sun in our hearts, and the memory of an island that whispers long after we leave.
