What is TriSwim all about?
TriSwim is an open water swimming community built around one simple idea: swimming should feel good.
It’s not about being fast, or technical, or “good enough” to turn up. It’s about getting in the water, feeling supported, and finding your own rhythm — whether that’s a gentle dip in the shallow bay, a steady swim across the lake, or training towards something bigger.
Some people come to build confidence. Some come to improve technique. Some come because life feels a bit loud and the water helps quiet it down. Most people come back because of the people.
At TriSwim, you’re never just turning up to swim — you’re stepping into a safe, welcoming space where you’re supported every step of the way. Every session is lifeguarded, structured with safety in mind, and designed so you can swim at your own pace, in your own way, without pressure.
We swim all year round at Chipstead Lake in Sevenoaks, Haysden Lake in Tonbridge, and Penshurst Place in Penshurst, making open water swimming accessible locally, whatever the season.
You don’t need to commit to anything to get started. Non-members are always welcome, as many times as they like, with each swim priced at £13. These sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable, keeping things simple and flexible for those just dropping in.
If you find yourself coming regularly, membership is completely optional but gives you more flexibility and value. From £5.99 per month or £40 for the year, members benefit from discounted swims at £9 each, along with the ability to reschedule or cancel sessions when life inevitably gets in the way.
For those who fully embrace it, there’s also an unlimited option at £40 per month, which includes membership and unlimited swimming — ideal if the water becomes part of your weekly routine.
There’s no right way to do TriSwim. You can come once, come often, swim far, or just float and chat. You don’t even have to think of yourself as a swimmer.
You just have to be a little bit curious.

Swimming has been a passion that’s close to my heart since childhood! I remember days spent with Dad on Sunday afternoons, and from there grew an appreciation for the technical side of teaching swimming. That same enthusiasm is still alive today; as an ultra-endurance open water swimmer and coach it drives me to give everyone the skills they need to take on any challenge – be it in pool or open waters. My methods are backed by science yet flexible enough so we can work together in order create tailored routines designed just for you while allowing space your own growth at your own pace. So get ready…it’s time set sail into whole new world of possibilities!

Lake Manager
I’m new to TriSwim but swimming is in my blood as I’m a swim-Mum. I love being able to chat about anything to do with swimming.
I have a background in education and most recently a supportive role in a Grammar School, so I’m very much your “go-to” person for all things supportive and nurturing whilst you’re visiting us.
I’m very a naturally very chatty and sociable person, so please pop along and say hi!

Lake Manager – Lifeguard
Lauren has been with us since TriSwim was founded in 2015 and has been a hugely integral part to all we do.
Lauren is also training to be a nurse and works at a local GP, as well as being a Mum to two little rascals.
“I love being at the lakes and helping others to enjoy the lakes too – it is truly my happy place, even in the rain!
I also love the administration side of Triswim, so if you have any questions about memberships or swim tickets, feel free to ask me.”
We love Lauren and we hope you do too!
Sam
Head Lifeguard
Hi I’m Sam, I’m a competitive swimmer at British National Level and also an open water swimmer. I’m currently preparing to swim the English Channel with Joey in September, raising funds for the charity Brains Matter- an organisation that supports people who have suffered a traumatic brain injury. As well as helping to ensure your safety in the water, you’ll also likely spot me training in the lakes.
