Penshurst Place Lake

PENSHURST PLACE, PENSHURST, TONBRIDGE, KENT, TN11 8DG

Tuesdays 5pm – 7pm May – October

Tucked away in the Penshurst Place Estate, lies a beautiful lake which now eagerly awaits our Tri Swim community.

Accessed via an ancient avenue of trees through a green meadow, with neighbouring wildlife and nature either side, Lancup Well is a tranquil and unique place for a wild swim, set against the backdrop of historic Penshurst Place.

Lancup Well is exclusively offered to Tri Swim for our swimmers only, so why not join us and add a little “shhh” to your swim, with a quiet, relaxing and peaceful swim at this beautiful, historic estate.

The real draw of Penshurst Place lake (Lancup Well Lake) is its quiet and peaceful location, making it a perfect spot for wild swimmers, families, outdoor enthusiasts, dippers and those new to open water swimming. The size of the lake perimeter is 400m with a shallow, walk-in bay entrance to the water.

We are really excited to introduce our new Tour, Tea and Swim packages this summer, where you will be given a tour of the house or gardens followed by a spot of afternoon tea and a refreshing open water swim in the lake.

Don’t fancy the tour? Don’t worry – you can still enjoy a swim at this gorgeous location every other Wednesday!

You do not need a TriSwim annual membership to swim at any TriSwim venue. You can swim with us as a non member, but joining with us will discount each swim and comes with LOADS of great benefits.

Upon your first visit, we will require every swimmer to undertake a short safety briefing. This is to ensure you are given all the appropriate information to keep you safe and enjoy your swimming experience. Your safety briefing is free with your membership and will consist of a dry land safety briefing and a 5 minute water based safety briefing – it is quick and easy!

Please note that children under the age of 12 can swim FOR FREE with each paying adult but must remain under your supervision at all times.
