Hever Castle is the perfect setting for all swimmers wanting to take part in open water swimming, young and old, experienced and new with its calm and shallow waters adjacent to the historic Loggia.

Hever Castle is our “wild” swimming venue, so there will be no facilities to change or shower after your swim, so please ensure you come dressed to swim and are prepared to go home without changing.

We regret, we cannot facilitate spectators at Hever Castle Swimming and access to the castle and gardens is strictly prohibited.

You do not need a TriSwim annual membership to swim at any TriSwim venue. You can swim with us as a non member, but joining with us will discount each swim and comes with LOADS of great benefits.

Upon your first visit, we will require every swimmer to undertake a short safety briefing. This is to ensure you are given all the appropriate information to keep you safe and enjoy your swimming experience. Your safety briefing is free with your membership and will consist of a dry land safety briefing and a 5 minute water based safety briefing – it is quick and easy!

Please note that children under the age of 16 can swim FOR FREE with each paying adult.

Rest assured, your safety is our top priority. We’ve conducted thorough microbiology water tests to ensure that the water is clean and safe for you to enjoy.

Prices: For members it’s just £8.50, and non-members can join the fun for £11.50. Parking is included in booking price.

  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent in the water
  • We regret, we cannot accommodate spectators at this venue
  • There is strictly no access to the Castle or the Castle gardens during your visit to TriSwim.
  • No formal changing facilities, so please come prepared.

Hever Castle is home to the annual Castle Triathlon Series Gauntlet and Bastion triathlon, as well as their famous swimming series. TriSwim will be bringing regular open water swimming to Hever Castle so that you may visit and practice for these prestigious events, but also support those looking to swim in the historic and beautiful settings of Hever Castle, home to Anne Boleyn.

We regret that due to the historic and private nature of Hever Castle, we cannot offer spectators and/or access into the castle grounds.

Free parking is located by exiting Hever Road next to St Peter’s Church and following the road to the rear of the castle, via an access gate (operated by TriSwim). Please park next to the big TriSwim flags and be prepared that parking is on grass, which may be muddy in the winter.

TriSwim Website Terms and Conditions

By booking a swim on the TriSwim website, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Non-Member Bookings: If you are booking a swim as a 'non-member,' you must create a username profile to provide safety information. Non-member bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. To enjoy the benefit of refunding and rescheduling a swim, please join as a member.
  2. Child/Young Adult Policy: Children and young adults under the age of 16 swim free with each paying adult on a 1:1 ratio. No separate booking is required for the child as they will remain under your supervision on-site at all times.
  3. Photography Consent: By booking and attending a swim with TriSwim, you agree to occasionally have your photo taken for use in social media and editorial publications. You can opt out of having your image used by emailing us at info@triswim.org.uk.
  4. Child Supervision: Any child under the age of 16 using the "free swim" pass must have a responsible adult in the water and on-site with them at all times.
  5. Safety Equipment: The use of a brightly colored swim hat and/or a safety tow float is mandatory in the water at all times.
  6. Wetsuit Policy: Wetsuits are not mandatory, but we recommend considering one in cooler temperatures or for first-time open water swimmers.
  7. Nudity: Nudity is strictly prohibited both in the water and in public areas.
  8. Assumption of Risk: Open water swimming with TriSwim is considered a safe and supported activity. However, there is an inherent risk involved. It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit and healthy enough to participate and to manage your swimming ability in open water.
  9. Compliance with Staff: If a lifeguard or staff member asks you to exit the water, you agree to do so without complaint. Any disagreements can be addressed by emailing us at info@triswim.org.uk.
  10. Safety Briefing and Guidelines: Upon arrival for a swim, you agree to listen to the Head lifeguard safety briefing and follow all guidelines and safety procedures provided.
  11. Responsibility for the Environment: Swimming at TriSwim venues is a privilege. You agree to protect the water and the onsite environment by taking any rubbish home with you, avoiding damage to facilities or flora and fauna, refraining from abusive behavior towards staff or other users, and not accessing the site for open water swimming outside of organized TriSwim sessions.
